Yoghurt Coated Raisins
I lay awake in my room; waiting for my eyelids to fall. I stare at what was “the corners” of my room. In a dark room they could have easily moved without me knowing. I can’t see shit. I see nothing as intended. Intent.
I was in a tent the other day listening to mosquitos buzz around the night sky. I’d take them one by one until I fell asleep. It’s dark in the woods, too; but at least you can see the stars. They remind me of yoghurt coated raisins; Sweet on the inside, sweet on the outside. I imagine the stars taste like that- that and a stale-dusty aftertaste. That’s probably nostalgia.
Sweet inside and out. I love you. In my room I can’t see stars but I do see my yoghurt coated raisins beside me. I love you. I’m ready to sleep now.
